Dragon Boat Racing – Exciting, adrenalin pumping, great fun, and set against the historic backdrop of Warwick Castle.
Whether you are looking for a team building activity, an inter-company challenge, charity event or just an exciting day out, our dragon boat race is safe, enjoyable and suitable for complete beginners.
Event Format
We can operate races starting from a minimum of 26 people up to a maximum of 500 approx. Each team has a drummer, and between 12 and 20 paddlers. We can host a minimum of 2 teams and a maximum of 24 teams approx. Each team has a minimum of 2 races over a 250m course with the fastest teams going through to the Final Heats & Grand Final.
With up to 6 teams/120 people competing in this event it will take around half a day to run all the races. The more teams and people that compete (over 120 people) the duration of the event will take longer and can last upto a full day.
What Your Event Includes
We provide everything you need to have a safe & enjoyable event: the dragon boats, paddles, buoyancy aids, safety boat cover, qualified helms, river marshals and PA system. Toilets, changing rooms and showers are available on site.
We provide all event safety including necessary risk assessments. £5m public liability insurance and operate according to British Dragon Boat Association guidelines.
If required, for larger events, we can also offer timing officials, trophies, team medals, team marquees, toilets, larger PA systems, presentation stages, boat branding etc to meet your requirements.
After your event why not have a party? We have barbecue facilities on site with covered outdoor seating and use of a BBQ we supply the coals but not the chef or food.
Cost
Prices for a dragon boating event start from £30.00 (ex VAT) per person for half a day– just e-mail or ring with your requirements for a unique quote for your event.
When can you book
We are open year round for bookings. Dragon boating activities take place between March and October. When daylight allows we take evening bookings.
